About Nirvana
Namaste' and welcome to Nirvana Spa and Bathhouse, where tranquility meets luxury. Our journey began with a simple yet profound vision: to create a sanctuary where individuals can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in a world of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Our Story
As entrepreneurs and full time parents, we often felt ourselves overstretched and spread thin between parenting and chasing the American Dream. As you all know whether you're running a business, working a full-time job or just being a full-time parent is demanding can be draining at times. We were no stranger to that, and so we found that the best way to charge was to unplug. And one way we did that was to frequently spas whenever we could make time. Gratefully, we have been able to do that all over the world and have been inspired by the ancient traditions of bathhouses and spas, and the therapeutic benefits the bring to both, body and mind.
In our hometown of Washington, D.C. Spas and bath houses are plentiful. When we lived there, we could walk into on any given day and use the facilities, and most of the time book other services, like massages, and body scrubs, but when we moved to North Carolina we could not find any spas with bath houses open to the public. In fact, we had to drive four hours back to Virginia anytime we wanted to take a day off to relax and recover at a spa.
We love our spas in the D.C. area, but we don't love driving four hours to D.C. and back just to use a spa. So, we decided to launch our own spa, Nirvana Spa and Bathhouse to share our slice of heaven and the benefits a holistic day spa offers.
